		<description><![CDATA[<p align="justify"><strong>EDISON, NJ -</strong> Saint Peter's College sophomore <strong>Kelly Watson (Lawrence, NJ) </strong>was named the <strong><em>MAAC Female Cross Country Runner of the Week </em></strong>after her performance at the Towson Invitational.&nbsp;Watson ran the&nbsp;the second fastest race in Saint Peter&rsquo;s College women&rsquo;s cross country history on Friday as she completed the 5k race in 19:10. She finished the race in eighth place.</p>]]></description>

<p align="justify"><strong>NEWARK, NJ -</strong> The Saint Peter's College Peahens competed in the NJ Pride Fall Tournament yesterday and picked-up a 4-1 win over La Salle. The victory was the first for new head coach <strong>Donna Barone</strong>. &quot;It feels great to get that first victory,&quot; said Barone. &quot;We played very well and earned the win.&quot; <strong>Megan Papierniak </strong>hit a triple and knocked in a run, while <strong>Christie Crowell </strong>went 1-1 with a run scored. <strong>Tricia Reingle </strong>pitched a complete game and went 1-3 with a run scored at the plate.</p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[<p align="justify"><strong>WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - </strong>The Saint Peter's College Peacocks (4-3-2) gained some much needed momentum today in a 2-0 victory over the Monmouth University Hawks (6-2-1). The Peacocks won their second straight contest this afternoon before heading into MAAC play next weeked. Saint Peter's scored two goals in the final 17 minutes as <strong>Udi Naim </strong>scored his team leading fourth and <strong>Braulio Constantino </strong>added insurance off the bench. <strong>Matt Lawlor </strong>picked up his second straight win and first shutout of the season, making four saves for the Peacocks.</p>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>JERSEY CITY, NJ - Center Court at the Yanitelli Center will be the place to be for Peacock Nation&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>Hawaiian Day -&nbsp;</strong>October 18th at 2:00 PM.&nbsp;Throughout the&nbsp;women's volleyball match between Saint Peter's and Fairfield,&nbsp;contests and events will take place highlighting our 50th state.</p>
<p>Members of Peacock Nation are urged to dress in the favorite Hawaiian attire.</p>
<p>Between the second and third sets of the match, the inaugural&nbsp;<strong>Peacock Nation Limbo Contest</strong> will be held, with prizes awarded to the best male and female participants.</p>

		<title><![CDATA[Peahens Sweep Purple Eagles, 3-0]]></title>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team swept Niagra, 3-0.</p>
<p>Saint Peter's (8-11, 3-3 MAAC) were led by <strong>Kelly Blanchfield</strong>, who banged 11 kills on .647 hitting. <strong>Caroline Garvey</strong> dished 33 assists, and the team&nbsp;increased their service ace/set total to 2.09 (155 aces/74 sets) for the season.</p>
<p>Niagara (3-14, 1-5 MAAC) were led by <strong>Kathy Bibler</strong> with 12 kills on .435 hitting.</p>
<p>The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team will return to <strong>Center Court of the Yanitelli Center</strong> to face MAAC rival Loyola on Saturday, October 11th at 2:00 PM.</p>

		<title><![CDATA[Canisius Edges Saint Peter's, 3-2]]></title>

		<description><![CDATA[<p>JERSEY CITY, NJ - The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team was defeated by Canisius, 3-2.</p>
<p>Saint Peter's (7-11, 2-3 MAAC) forced the deciding fifth set thanks to the superior service of <strong>Monique Flores</strong> who helped the Peahens break a tie at 15 and pushed the score to 21-16, including two aces.</p>
<p><strong>Kate McFadden</strong> led the attack with 12 kills, followed by <strong>Stephanie Phillips</strong> who banged 11 kills to make it her fifth conference match with double-digit kills. <strong>Kim Mendoza</strong> recorded her sixth straight double-double (11 kills/20 digs), and <strong>Kelly Blanchfield</strong> added 10 kills and 5 total blocks (2 solo, 3 assist). <strong>Caroline Garvey</strong> dished 44 assists and tallied 27 digs.</p>
<p>The Peahens started the week&nbsp;tenth in the&nbsp;NCAA and&nbsp;first in the MAAC&nbsp;with 1.95&nbsp;service aces/set, and increased their total 2.14 (152 aces/71 games)&nbsp;through their three matches this week.</p>
<p>The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team will return to <strong>Center Court of the Yanitelli Center</strong>&nbsp;Sunday, October 5th at Noon when the host Niagra University.&nbsp;</p>

The Peahens finished in sixth place and were led by the three &quot;W's&quot;. <strong>Kelly Watson </strong>ran the second fastest time in Peahen history, running the race in 19:10 and finishing in eighth place overall. <strong>Mindy Wang </strong>ran in 20:35 and <strong>Tellesia Williams </strong>ran in 21:01. <p align="justify"><strong>BRONXVILLE, NY -</strong> The Saint Peter's College Peacocks defeated the Manhattan Jaspers this afternoon, 4.5-2.5 in match play action. <strong>Ray Ferrari</strong>, <strong>TJ Sumigray</strong>, and <strong>Tyler Pang </strong>all came away with victories in their matches. <strong>Sean Fitzpatrick </strong>and <strong>Billy Sues </strong>both battled back after trailing&nbsp;to halve their matches. <strong>Greg Nordtveit </strong>also halved his match and earned the .5 point that clinched the victory&nbsp;for the Peacocks. Saint Peter's returns to action next Tuesday when they host Manhattan at Rock Spring Country Club.</p>

		<title><![CDATA[Saint Peter's Releases 2008-09 Women's Basketball Schedule]]></title>

		<description><![CDATA[<p align="justify">Saint Peter's College has released the 2008-09 women's basketball schedule. The highlight of the non-conference schedule is the December 13th&nbsp;game against Seton Hall on Hall of Fame Day at the Jersey City Armory. The Peahens will face the Pirates at Noon. The Peahens&nbsp;will face in-state rivals Monmouth and Fairleigh Dickinson as well as Wagner and LIU. The Peahens will host their annual Holiday Classic on December 29th and 30th with NJIT, Hofstra and Willam &amp; Mary as the participants. They will also host Delaware State and travel to Holy Cross. Saint Peter's will play Fairfield and Manhattan on the first MAAC weekend in December and then begin the MAAC schedule in earnest on January 4th by hosting Siena. 		<description><![CDATA[<p>FAIRFIELD, CT - The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team was defeated by Sacred Heart 3-2.</p>
Saint Peter's (7-10, 2-2 MAAC) played its fourth match in five days, as <strong>Kim Mendoza</strong> led the Peahens with 10 kills and added 11 digs for her fifth consecutive double-double. <strong>Caroline Garvey</strong> dished 30 assists and <strong>Katherine Sura</strong> tallied 14 digs, her sixth straight match with double-digit digs. <strong>Yomi Angulo</strong> dropped four service aces, while <strong>Kate McFadden</strong> and Garvey&nbsp;added three each. <strong>Renata Bauer </strong>added four errorless attacks.
<p>The Saint Peter's women's volleyball team returns home to center court at the Yanitelli Center this weekend as they host MAAC rivals Canisius on Saturday, October 4th 2:00 PM, and Niagra on Sunday, October 5th at Noon.</p>
