Where do students work?

Generally during the academic year, students work in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area within an easy commute from the campus. However, if you'd like to work in your home community or elsewhere around the country, either during the academic year or the summer, we will work to arrange that.

What kinds of organizations employ Saint Peter's Co-op & Internship students?

Placements have been arranged with almost any kind of organization you can think of.  A list of selected Co-op employers can be found on our Statistics and The Company We Keep pages.  A full list of over 500 potential employers is available upon request.

What is required to participate in the Co-op & internship program?

There are no requirements other than being enrolled at the College. Any student, freshman through senior, in any major, is eligible to participate. In addition, there is no minimum grade point average requirement.

Are the Co-op & internship students guaranteed a job?

No. Normally students must compete for each position with other students. However, typically over 65% of students are successfully placed, and in some majors over 90% get Co-op & Internshipassignments.

Will participation in Co-op delay graduation?

Generally no. The vast majority of students at Saint Peter's work no more than 20 hours per week and enroll for 12 to 18 credits per term. This means that as a Co-op & Internship student you will continue to make normal progress toward your degree and can graduate in four years.
