October:

  • Meetings every Wednesday at noon, in the 3rd-floor conference room of Loyola Hall.
  • Creative writing workshops with Professor Gregor at every other meeting, beginning Wednesday, October 1.
  • Online creative writing / arts collaboration with DeMontfort University in Leicester, England, at  http://rememberingplacesblog.blogspot.com/.  Please feel free to take part!  If you are interested, contact Dr. Wifall for login information.
  • English Department / Honors Program Social - Wednesday, October 22 at noon, in the Honors House on Glenwood Ave.
  • English Club / Department Halloween luncheon and poetry reading - Thursday, October 30 at noon, in McIntyre C.
November:
  • Book Drive, to benefit Housingworks' Used Book Cafe in NYC (proceeds of which go to homeless people with HIV / AIDS).  Please donate lightly-used books, DVDs, CDs, and/or VHS tapes; dropoff boxes are in Loyola Hall (first and third floors) and the Library.  Large donations can be picked up by the club; contact caguiles@spc.edu or rwifall@spc.edu.  

 December:

  • John Milton's 400th Birthday Bake Sale!  Wednesday, December 10: 12:00 - 1:00, in the first-floor hallway of Dinneen Hall.
