Announcement of Acting President

The Board of Trustees joins you in mourning the sudden loss of our President and dear friend James N. Loughran, S.J. He worked tirelessly with the Board and College Community to bring Saint Peter's to new levels of achievement and recognition.

A meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on January 3rd. Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, was named Acting President. The Board is fully confident that Dr. Cornacchia is qualified to lead the College at this important time. A search for a permanent President has commenced, and members of the search committee will be made known to you shortly.

Please know that the Board of Trustees and I are grateful for all of your efforts in moving the College forward during this difficult time. We are truly blessed to have such dedicated faculty, administrators, support staff and volunteers whose motivation to serve is driven by love of Saint Peter’s College and what it stands for.
