What Ruth Loves about SPC
Ruth feels that the moral and ethical bases of the College equals the values she upholds in her personal life. The opportunity extended to continue education is essential to the ongoing development of any individual regardless of status. The College Community is in essence an extended family that provides support, encouragement and pride in one’s work and education. These are just some of the things she loves about SPC. She wishes to thank Dean Turchio for the nomination and recognize that he is a role model for her desire to continue her education. She also thanks the Committee and all the people who have extended her this important recognition.

What SPC Loves About Ruth
"A person of deep faith, Ruth Vasquez is truly a “woman for others.” From the cura personalis that she provides to our students and everyone at the College to her extraordinary computer expertise, Ruth is an asset to Student Affairs and to the Saint Peter’s College community. Like Ruth of the Bible, our Ruth is gentle yet decisive, kind and thoughtful, gracious and responsible. It is truly a pleasure to work with her."
"I can’t imagine working with a more pleasant person. Ruth is selfless, hard-working, and always willing to help. She treats every person who steps into the office with kindness and respect. She demonstrates cura personalis each and every day, both in and out of the office."
"Ruth always handles herself professionally and with a quiet strength. I’m always impressed by Ruth’s calm nature and her ability to defuse an anxious student. It is truly a pleasure to work with her."
"In my thirty plus years in higher education, I have had the privilege of working with many good people. As a supervisor, I have had the opportunity to recruit and hire several secretaries. Ruth is by far the best secretary and PERSON with whom I have ever worked. Not only is she is extremely efficient and diligent in her duties, but Ruth is also personable, compassionate, helpful, and kind to all who come into contact with her. Saint Peter’s is quite fortunate to have her in its employ.”
Ruth After Hours
Ruth’s life is centered around the values focused on family, friends, religion and her career at SPC. Her continuing education is also an important part of what she does after hours. Dean Cicirelli’s guidance is an important part of how she organizes to continue her education and still stay focused on other parts of her life.
Ruth’s Wishes
Ruth states that SPC is a vital part of her life because she works and studies at this institution. Therefore her success is dependent upon the success of every program in this school. It is her intense wish that all the programs offered at this College continue to benefit all who attend here or wish to attend here and therefore her wish for SPC is the continued success of the College.
