Jack Hampton is the KPMG Professor of Business and Director of Graduate Business Programs at St. Peter’s College in Jersey City, NJ. He was Executive Director of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) from 2000 to 2004. Previously, he was dean of the schools of business at Seton Hall and Connecticut State universities and provost of the College of Insurance in New York City.
Professional Interests

His book Fundamentals of Enterprise Risk Management has been accepted for publication in 2009 (American Management Association). He is the author of numerous books including the AMA Management Handbook (General Editor, AMACOM Books), Financial Management of Insurance Companies (AMACOM Books), Financial Decision Making (Prentice-Hall. four editions), Working Capital Management (John Wiley and Sons), and Modern Financial Theory: Perfect and Imperfect Markets (Prentice-Hall). His journal articles include "The Valuation of Common Stock in a Bifurcated Regulatory Structure”, Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives, and "International Marketing in China”, Journal of Marketing Management.
Consulting
He has been a principal in the Princeton Consulting Group since 1981 and has worked on strategic planning, risk management, and due diligence projects for diverse clients including AT&T, The World Bank, Pacific Fruit, and United Technologies. He has extensive experience in China, Russia, and Japan.
