John t. Coughlin history club
Mission Statement:
The John T. Coughlin History Club strives to promote the study of history on the Jersey City Campus of Saint Peter's College.
What We Do?
The History Club is actively involved on campus, promoting different talks and co-sponsoring events on campus. In the Fall 2005 Semester, the organization co-sponsored a talk by Chris Lowney, author of A Vanished World: Medieval Spain's Golden Age of Enlightenment, with the Campus Ministry Department of Saint Peter's College. Currently, the History Club is working on a presentation on the "New Seven Wonders of the Ancient World," to be presented at the Academic Symposium in the Spring of 2008.
Who Can Join?
Despite close ties with the History Department on the Jersey City campus, all members of the college community are invited and encouraged to attend club meetings and campus events.
Meetings:
Meetings are held twice a month, on the first Monday and the third Thursday of the month. Because of the Presidential Inauguaration and events surrounding that event, the next meeting is Thursday, October 25 at Noon in Dinneen Hall 330.
